Part 2 shows the "Flying Tigers" on an airfield in China as they are incorporated into the U.S. Air Force. Personages: Gen. Chennault and Col. Clark. Transport planes are loaded and unloaded. Part 3 shows the Swedish liner Gripsholm at Rio de Janeiro with U.S. internees from Japan, among them Amb. Grew. Part 4 shows an oil pipeline from Texas to Illinois under construction. Part 5 shows the wreckage of a Navy blimp in a San Francisco suburb. Part 6 shows Navy blimp under construction in Akron, Ohio. Part 7, the Marine invasion of the Solomon Islands is announced; Shows warships firing and Marines practicing beach landings and parachute jumps. Includes Adm. Byrd.
